Meeting and working on Dwight Byers at the RAA Conference, Brisbane October, 1998

This was an experience I will never forget as a young Chi-Reflexology therapist, I had the opportunity to meet and work on Dwight Byers at the RAA (now RAoA) Conference in October, 1998 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
I had just been away in Europe before this Conference including unofficially presenting at the RIEN Conference in Tampere, Finland. The first non-European to present at a REIN Conference. It was an exciting time for the emergence of Chi-Reflexology ( Energy-Reflexology) to the world.
At the RAA Brisbane Conference in 1998, I presented a Conference keynote address as well as having a trade stand where I sold my new (1998) Chi-Reflexology colour Foot chart and offering Chi Medics (then Chi-Reflexology) Organ Chi Balances to participants.
Dwight Byers was also presenting at this conference as well as having a trade stand too, and I was looking forward to meeting and talking with Dwight, to discuss energy work via the feet which I was so excited about.
To my surprise, Dwight wandered over to my stand and I offered to give him a quick treatment and balance and to my amazement he agreed. I gave Dwight Chi Medics (Chi-Reflexology) Standard Organ Chi Balance, which took no more than a few minutes to perform, and he was blown away; so much so that he wandered off in a daze, forgetting his suit jacket which he left on a chair beside the massage table!
He eventually realised he had left his coat jacket behind and wandered back to retrieve it, still feeling the effects of the balance! We had an interesting discussion in which he made himself abundantly clear that his aunt (Eunice Inghams') work had absolutely nothing to do with energy in any form whatsoever.
Dwight was for many years vocally anti any suggestion that Reflexology has any connection to energy work, even after he had received and enjoyed the Chi-Reflexology experience himself.
Fair-dinkum! How things have changed after all these years. If you thought combining Chi and Reflexology was a radical step forward, look at all the varieties of inclusions now in Reflexology! A therapy that Eunice invented and Dwight took to the world.
